The Amazin’ Mets Foundation and Delta Air Lines have partnered on the Ya Gotta Read! program to help create a love of reading in all students. We want your children to be excited to read, and we hope the appeal of the Mets and the potential to win prizes will help make them lifelong readers.
The Mets Ya Gotta Read! will begins on Tuesday, February 24 for students in Grades 1-5. 📖⚾
The goal is for children to read 20 minutes every weeknight (Monday-Friday) during the program. The more minutes your child reads, the more prizes they will earn! Teachers will supply students with a special log for this program and we ask that you sign the log each night.
PRIZES:
60 Minutes = Single. Prize: Mr. Met Bookmark
180 Minutes = Double. Prize: Mrs. Met Keychain
300 Minutes = Triple. Prize: Notebook
600 Minutes = Home Run. Prize: 2 Mets tickets
The student in our school who reads the most minutes will receive 4 tickets to a Mets game and a $100 gift card to use at CitiField.
